GLOBAL ENCOUNTERS FESTIVAL
Encounters was established by Mawlana Hazar Imam as the first international Jamati institution to promote excellence in the arts, sports, cultural heritage and youth development. This July, the first Global Encounters Festival will be held in Dubai – an unforgettable week-long programme to showcase artists and athletes from across the globe.
About Team UK
Over the last 18 months, in cities across the UK, Germany, The Netherlands and Sweden, we held a number of qualifying events to identify the Artists and Athletes to represent the UK jurisdiction at the Global Encounters Festival. They will compete against other jurisdictions at the Festival, showcasing the incredible artistic and athletic talent of the Jamat.

Getting involved
In the coming months, a number of events are being planned as we build up to the Festival in Dubai. From Film Festivals in February to local devotional evenings and of course the highly anticipated Tour of the Faanoos which will be visiting a number of our jurisdiction Jamatkhanas in April as they journey to Dubai.
